Apple Bread

A few nights ago I was in a baking mood but didn’t want to make cookies or pumpkin bread! Instead I came up with this recipe for apple bread using chunky homemade applesauce! It’s moist and delicious!

3 cups flour

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

3 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 cup oil

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 3/4 cups  chunky applesauce

Mix flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and baking powder in large bowl.

Beat eggs and add sugar, oil and vanilla.

Combine egg mixture with dry ingredients. Stir in chunky applesauce.

Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

*I actually made one loaf of bread and half a dozen large muffins! I baked the muffins for 20 minutes.

  1. Looks beautiful, and I like the idea of making muffins with it too. I've had a real hankering after apple cake recently so I'm going to give this a try. Thanks.

  2. I love apple bread, it's one of my favorites to make in our house! I have a raw apple bread that uses fresh apples, it's from my aunt and I end up making it as gifts to a lot of the workers at church during the Christmas season. It's always a hit!
