It’s the Little Things

This dishwasher  has been so helpful lately…almost like having a “kitchen housekeeper”! I typically don’ t use my dishwasher much but it certainly has made my life easier lately!

I usually hand wash my dishes! I actually enjoy it…in fact it is somewhat relaxing to me! (And now you think I’m crazy because who enjoys washing dishes?!)

This baby has been used daily and it’s wonderful! I have more time to spend with my family and my kitchen looks cleaner since I load as we go!

What little thing makes your life easier and saves you time?

  1. Rachel, I LOVE my dishwaher. I love all my appliances actually, and affectionately think of them as my household servents/homekeeping team. I cook A LOT and run my dishwasher usually twice a day. That's why we have them. =)

  2. I laughed when I read your post today because I am also one of those crazy people that actually enjoy washing dishes! But since baby #2 was born, my dishwasher has become my best friend! It gets so hectic most evenings that I just throw the dishes in there and go!

  3. I have been using my dishwasher a lot more than usual lately too! Since the morning sickness/fatigue has set in, I've basically been putting everything in it I can! I used to watch most dishes by hand (and often enjoy it, too!), but these days…whatever's quick tends to be what I do. 🙂

  4. Rice cooker. I simply cannot make rice without it. Just get huge masses of gelatinous rice. But my rice cooker…oh my goodness…I love it! And, I've recently found a recipe for rice cooker oatmeal!!

  5. I like hand washing dishes. I've never owned a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen the designer kept wanting to add a dishwasher, and I refused. I'm celebrating my 30th wedding anniversay today, and for 30 years, my husband and I have done dishes together. It became "our" time in our busy schedule while raising two children. It was the point of the day that we could reconnect and talk. I didn't want some silly machine to take that way from me! 🙂
