Cloth Blocks

I had fabric left over from making this quilt and I decided to make some cloth blocks. (I made this quilt over 2 years ago in anticipation of a future baby!) The backing is the frog fabric that I use for the blocks.

After seeing the cloth blocks that  Aliesha made for her baby girl, I was inspired to make Paxton some! (She shows how to make them step by step!) They were so easy and simple to make!

Here are the 3 blocks I made with different frogs on them!

I used these 3 different fabrics, the green polka dot, the frog print and the blue gingham!

I was very pleased at how adorable these turned out and I can’t wait until he starts playing with them!

  1. I can't wait to make a bunch of these. My 17 month old grandson is in a bit of a throwing stage, and I am afraid his 5 month old sister will get whacked. His mom has tried to take all the "hard" toys out for now – so these will be perfect! Now I just need to go to WalMart and get some stuffing!

  2. My son (who is almost 21 months) was looking at the computer with me as I was reading this post… first he said "Frog!" then he said "Coke! Coke!" (you know… for CROAK!… ha ha) But then he said "Ohhh. Cute!"
I was laughing and told him that "Yes! They ARE cute!" and figured we should let you know, that we think they are very cute! 🙂

    1. That is precious!! I'm glad they are baby approved…hopefully Paxton will enjoy playing with them & think they are cute too!! 🙂

  3. Those are adorable! I made some bean bags for my Princess. It took her awhile to start playing with them, but now I think she plays with them more then all her other toys. She's always carrying a bean bag around with her. I made them in different sizes and they're perfect for her to grab and go!
