If you look around, you will find church's, mom's groups, and several other groups, like Sugar Babies doing sales every Saturday. This is like a giant Garage Sale for baby/kids stuff. Mom's unload their kids whole wardrobe for about 1 to 2 dollars a piece. As a mother of 4, I am hugely into this. I consider it like a swap. I sale the stuff they have grown out of, and purchase the stuff they need. I may pocket about $50 but I usually save $100 in wardrobe and shoes and baby equipment. I know your looking for advice for new mom's, this is the best advice I can give. :) Hey Rachel

When I was in my third trimester. I spent a lot of my nights sleeping on the couch. Of course, I started out in the bed because I wanted to attempt cuddling my hubby. I have no reason to complain about being pregnant because it is such a blessing to be able to have children! There are so many women who would love to gain weight, have sleepless nights and achy backs and feet just so they could have a child. The slight discomforts are completely worth it!! It really helps to have a good attitude while pregnant. I enjoyed being pregnant and the labor and delivery process. I was determined to continue to do things for myself. You were talking about painting your toes...well I shaved my own legs the whole time I was pregnant. The positive attitude does give the baby confidence...like someone else said in a comment. My son was so comfortable with my from day one. Also...I have always given him lots of hugs and I have always given him tons of kisses everyday. He will be 4 in April and he is the most loving little booger. He gives everyone hugs and kisses on the cheek. Even at a local resturant recently (I knew the lady) he had to give the waitress a hug because he spilled his drink and she told him not to worry and brought him another. So I believe that you can never give them enough hugs and kisses. Good Luck the next 7 weeks!! I think you are doing a great job of staying positive. I felt the same way as you, no opinion regarding meds and just trying to do it on my own as long as possible. I ended up with an epidural but I can honestly say I really enjoyed the labor and delivery experience. I told my nurse we would have fun and I really think we did! Looking back I wouldn't have done it any differently and I do think my attitude and staying calm during the whole thing is part of the reason why our little girl is so laid back and such an easygoing little one. I hope the rest of your pregnancy continues to go well for you and you also have a fun delivery! You have such a wonderful attitude regarding your pregnancy, labor and delivery!
