i also got married at 19! we are originally from alabama and own a condo there that we rent. we are doing alright to be both 23 this year! but i would love to live more frugally and simple. i hope to learn a lot from you!

I also practice frugal living and had a similar story to yours. I bought my first house when I was 20, married young and had my first baby at 22. By 28 I had 6 kids and I’m a SAHM. We survive on one (meager) military income. I’ve found a lot of ways to save money and it’s even more fun when you have a baby (breastfeeding, cloth diapering, consignment sales, etc.) so you are going to love it!

We’re from Alabama! (Hubby grew up in Louisiana, though)
I love reading your blog; it encourages me to be frugal in our lives too. Army pay is good, but it’s not a lot, and we certainly don’t put enough into savings each month.
