20 weeks
Posted by Rachel on Dec 2, 2009 in pregnancy | 4 commentsIt’s hard to believe but today marks the halfway point of my pregnancy! I thought it would creep by but it’s been going by really fast! Almost too fast considering some of the projects we need to get done before the baby arrives!

For a couple of weeks I had been feeling tiny little flutters in my belly but last Friday (November 27th….also our half anniversary!) I went to bed and laid down and all the sudden felt all kinds of movement! Our baby was kicking! I called for John David and he put his hand on my belly and was able to lightly feel one of the stronger kicks! I’ve been feeling movement everyday since then! It’s really amazing…I am anxious for the coming weeks when the kicks get much stronger and when John David is able to feel the kicking really well!!
I am still feeling wonderful! My appetite is back to normal, random things no longer make me nauseous! My endurance level is still pretty good. I have found that if I sit for long periods of time I just want to stand up for a while! Also, when I stand for a while (like when ironing clothes for an hour) I need to kick my feet up and relax a few minutes!
We received the first onesies for our baby Monday! Beginning to receive baby items is exciting!
I have been searching for a crib seriously the past few weeks! I don’t really have a specific crib style or color in mind! I’ve been on Craigslist about every day for the past week looking for a good deal! Hopefully soon we’ll find the right crib at the right price!
Next Tuesday we find out whether we are going to have a son or a daughter! We are very excited about that! As this ultrasound draws nearer we’re also thinking about the anatomy screening. We aren’t worried but will be glad when we know the baby is healthy!
