God Meets Every Need

“So don’t worry saying ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be provided for you.” -Matthew 6:31-33 HCSB

This is one of those verses that I come back to over and over because it is so evident in my life! God takes such good care of us that we don’t need to worry about anything!

I love when I can see God’s blessings in my life. I know he blesses me every day in different ways but some days its more visibly evident than others. This Sunday was one of those days; He provided for us in 4 different ways! It’s important to count your blessings, so here are our recent blessings:

1. Maternity Clothes– A lady at church offered me her maternity clothes since she is finished having babies! We are about the same size — what a huge blessing!

2. Lunch– A sweet couple who we are good friends with took John David, Rebekah, Emerson and me out to lunch! This was a blessing that we were given food and also helped us stretch our gas money because we had to be back at the church by 3 for a reception. Since we ate in town we didn’t have to drive home and back to church (we live 15 minutes from church…not a short little drive!)

3. Hand-me-downs for John David and Me– A couple at church brought us 4 big bags of clothing, they were cleaning out their closets and thought of us! There were a couple shirts that John David liked and a pair of pants. I found several jeans, shirts and sweaters that fit (my current size & hopefully post pregnancy)…and a wonderful pair of black athletic pants that I’m wearing right now…I foresee them giving me lots of wear as my pregnancy progresses too! My sister also found a few things that she liked and there were some items that I sent back home to my mom that I think she would like and will fit her! So 4 of us were blessed by this!

4. Gift Card– I won a $30 Kroger gift card! This money will help stretch our food budget!

So the questions ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ were all answered…we have had food provided and clothing provided! Oh the goodness of God!
