Here is a recipe for making very frugal Italian Breadcrumbs:
Ingredients:
1 cup plain breadcrumbs*
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
dash of oregano
Directions:
Mix all ingredients.
*I used 4 pieces of bread, toasted it and put it in the food processor to make fine breadcrumbs. (I used the end pieces and the lone slice from last week’s loaf which I typically would have just composted and an end piece from my new loaf!)
